The gannet sanctuary - Fous de Bassan,Bonaventure National Park Percé Canada Perce is situated on the Gaspé Penisula (Gaspésie) east of Quebec, The area is a wild mountain area with forests, streams and lakes. Almost all the population live at the coastal area with towns like Gaspé, Matane, Percé, Chandler, and New Carlisle. There are several bird sanctuaries at the east coast and the Northern Gannet colony on Bonaventure Island is world-renowned, said to be the largest in the world with hundreds of thousands of Gannets nesting. Another famous attraction of Percé is the Percé Rock. A fantastic creation of nature.
