Fleet Week in New York City
New York May 27 2005The coming week is Fleet Week in New York.
US Navy and navy ships from other countries will be visiting New York.
As the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) passes the World Trade Center her sailors and embarked Marine Expeditionary Unit 2-4 Man the Rails in the traditional Naval show of respect.
This visit to New York is the first for the Kennedy since the attacks of September 11, 2001. The last time the USS Kennedy passed the World Trade Center was in May 2001 for Fleet Week 2001.
