Kangaba healthcenter

70 kms south of Bamako near the Guinean border

This is the children's room at this healthcenter which is taking care of a population of 96.000 people.

Of the four beds in the room three are occupied by infants with very bad malaria.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organisation that provides emergency medical assistance to populations in danger in more than 80 countries. They got the
Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for their humanitarian work. all over the world.

Mickael Therer, VR Photographer from Belgium has always had a large respect for this organisation and he presented them with the idea of documenting their work with interactive panoramas.

Shortly after he was sent to Mali in West Africa to visit 2 of the MSF operations in Mali.

Mali is a country with 12 million inhabitans most of them very poor, living for less than US$1 a day. They suffers from Malaria, HIV/AIDS and epidemics of meningitis, cholera, measles and yellow fever is created by Hans Nyberg.
