Grand Palais in Paris
The 'Grand Palais' was built for the World's Fair in 1900. After the World's Fair the building has been used in many different ways but it never became as known as the Eiffel Tower.The architects were Henri Daglane, Louis Albert Louvet,
Charles Louis Girault, and Albert Théophile Félix Thomas.
The construction was in 1993 in so bad shape that it was closed for public after an accident
During the last 4 years the place has been renovated and in October it was reopened for public.
In it you find the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, a planetarium, the Palais de la Decouverte, and some temporary exhibitions. During the Christmas days it contains a Christmas fair with carousels and a circus
Like for the October exhibition the Illumination of the building is created by the artist Thierry Dreyfus
