Amsterdam New Year 2007
The "Nieuwmarkt" (New Market) is situated between the "Red Ligth District" and "Chinatown". The building is called "de Waag" and used to be a gate in the wall around ancient Amsterdam. Traditionally a lot of fireworks is lit during the New Years event.
