Berliner Pfankuchen

On New Years Eve, people in Germany eat a lot of the traditional "Berliner" (short for "Berliner Ballen"), a donut like pastry, filled with jam. In Berlin it is called "Pfannkuchen". Be careful: when you order "Berliners" in Berlin, you will get an unexpected answer :-)
