Eid ul-Adha in Damascus Syria New Year 2007

Eid ul-Adha is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as a commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham's) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael for God.

In 2006 it happens to be at the time of our New Year.

Apart from the religious ceremonies it is also a free day where families get together and go out to amusements parks like here in Damascus.
