Quicktime is the original way to se VR Panoramas. It gives you optional quality with support on both platforms and also on older computers witth minimum Ram and slower speed.

Unfortunately Quicktime VR does not work properly on 64 bit Windows machines which is one of the main reasons why Quicktime as apanorama viewer is no longer used here at panoramas.dk and many other sites.

QTVR Movies do not need fast Videocards with large Ram

Flash Panorama Viewers Is the latest way to see VR Panoramas.

Introduced with Flash 9 you can now see high quality panoramas in browser and with the option of opening the panorama in real fullscreen covering all your screen.

With Flash 10 the quality was optimized to what is equal to Quicktime VR.

There are today 4 main viewers

Pano2VR is a converter that converts all types of panoramas to QTVR movies and to SWF flash panorama files.

It also supports making skins with thumbnails and toolbars included in the flash file.

Plays spherical (cropped, partial or full 180x360) panoramas including fullscreen. Sourcefiles Cubefaces, QTVR movies, and cropped spherical panoramas (note that cylindric panoramas should be converted to spherical projection.)

XML based interface which makes it possible to create Virtual Tours with almost any kind of interface and including popups with sound, maps, images, videos, flash animations etc.,

Additions like plugins for Google Maps are also available.

Flashificator is a gui for creating sites easy with FPP

KRPano is also based on XML and supports about the same features as the FPP viewer.

It also supports tiled Gigapixel Panoramas as spherical panoramas making it possible to view and zoom in on very ælarge panoramas even on a standard computer with out much memory.

The new PURE Player for Java viewer lets you load panoramic images onto a Website without having to install a plug-in. (Java is nessecary)
