VR Photography, Immersive Virtual Reality Panoramic imaging, QTVR, VR Photo, Virtual Reality Photography - All names which are new and which most people has never heard of.
While panoramic images has been a part of photography as long as photography has existed, VR Photography is so new that it hasn't even got a name which is common used.
You won't find anything about it in the printed photographic magazines, and you won't find any books about it besides some very technical tutorials. But Vr Photography is not just technics, it is a special photographic mode of expression which needs it's own media where it can be discussed and published.
And of course it also needs the computer to be seen.
VRMAG was the first and is still the only VR Magazine for Virtual Reality Imersive Photography.
It is published by VRWay a directory of more than 4,000 QTVR from Europe and several other places around the earth.
It started in spring 2001 and got 6 issues online in 2001 with articles and VR enough to keep you busy for a couple of days if you have not already been there. While revisiting it for this revue I discovered new stuff I had not read even if I have been there dozens of times.
The VRMAG last month relaunched with a new issue after a year of silence. In the new issue Full Screen QTVR has also got a place in the Parma project and you will see more of it in coming issues.
In the latest issue which is online now Dec 2002 you will find new Full Screens from the city of Parma and many other articles about VR and VR photographers.
I am also proud to tell you that Panoramas.dk has got a prominent place with a presentation of Hans Nyberg (well, thats me)
Lets browse through some of the "old" stuff that is available for you free to enjoy right from your screen.
